about meI'm a 26-year-old interior designer based between New York City and Connecticut, blending my background in public relations with a lifelong love of design and construction. I earned my interior design certification from Parsons The New School for Design, but my passion for creating spaces started much earlier. I grew up on job sites with my dad, who's a general contractor, and the first thing I ever drove was a Kobelco machine at one of his job sites at the ripe age of seven.
Today, I bring that early hands-on experience into every project I take on. I manage the full design and construction process from start to finish, including all permitting, architectural plans for framers, communication with subcontractors, and occasionally working alongside buyers to help bring their vision to life. I handle all major design choices from millwork to electrical, and even some of the final real estate photography. I genuinely love every part of shaping a home, from the structure to the finishing touches.
When I'm not on a job site or sketching ideas, you can usually find me exploring the West Village, painting, drawing, doing pilates, or enjoying the occasional dirty martini and tiramisu. Design is a huge part of my life, but the moments outside of work keep me inspired too.
Currently, we're in the process of building four townhomes, and I'm looking forward to adding more projects on once these are complete. Follow my instagram @amandatomasdesign to keep up with any upcoming projects and BTS of previous ones :)
